Champagne and Caviar dinner at Restaurant Jordnær, Gentofte

Restaurant Jordnær in Gentofte hosts a unique champagne and Caviar dining experience in co-operation with ''Taittinger Champagne'' and ''Gastro Unika'' on wednesday the 7'th of February 2018 starting at 6:30 pm.

''Taittinger Champagne'' was founded in 1734 and is one of the few houses left in Champagne that is still family-owned. Today the house is run by Pierre Emmanuel and his two children Clovis and Vitalie. Top quality and respect for traditions are highly prioritized. ''Champagne Taittinger'' owns 288 hectares of vineyards in the best area of Champagne. This ensures a steady supply of grapes in top quality for the production of their delicate, well-balanced champagnes. Taittinger's cellars are located under St. Nicaise Monastery, which in the 13th century belonged to the Benedictines-monks.

''Gastrounika-Caviar'' is one of the few suppliers that can deliver caviar without the use of additives - only salt added. The caviar comes from a sustainable farm In Belgium where the sturgeons are held both outdoors and indoors. The composition of the food they are given corresponds to what the sturgeons lives from in the Caspian Sea.

EX-EL BULLÍ CHEF HOSTS POP-UP IN COPENHAGEN

KLAMPENBORG Sølyst - Den Kongelige Skydebane

World-renowned culinary nomads come to Copenhagen

Argentine chef, Sebastian Mazzola (El Bullí, Tickets, 41°, Pakta) and Danish sake sommelier, Sussie Villarico, partners of Cooking in Motion, return to Denmark for a week of pop-up dinners after hosting pop-ups in 16 other countries.

There have been a long list of culinary nomads from Denmark (i.e. Kamilla Seidler, Claus Meyer, René Redzepi, Poul Andrias Ziska, Rasmus Kofoed, Mads Refslund, etc.), so it is only fitting that the White Guide has chosen to focus on this theme for 2018. And to mark the launch of the 2018 season, the team is bringing an internationally renowned culinary nomadic group to share their experiences gathered from their travels.

In partnership with White Guide and Sølyst, Cooking in Motion will take guests on an exquisite culinary journey fusing Mediterranean, Latin American, and Japanese cuisines while using local, Danish ingredients. Sussie Villarico has selected a pairing of rare and fine sake from small producers and Dagmar’s non-alcoholic juices to complement the menu.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy this collaborative creation in the regal settings of Sølyst, Denmark’s royal hunting society. Seating will be at communal tables of up to 10 guests with multiple seating times available.

Anne-Charlotte Bachas from Chateau de la Font du Loup presents Chateauneuf-du-Pape at danish Restaurant Jordnær in Gentofte, Denmark!

When? On Saturday 16'th of September - from 07:00 pm

At this Winemakers Dinner there will be served Chateauneuf-du-Pape wine from the house of   Château la Font du Loup - imported by Emilie Vin. Owner and winemaker Anne Charlotte Bachas will be there to tell about the wines and the castle.

The menu is specially created by owners of Restaurant Jordnær - Eric and Tina - to compliment the wines!
